I placed an order on line today and, in order to get the 3% cash discount, I paid by e-check instead of credit card. The payment is wired right from my checking account to the seller’s. I’d expected this to be done at the speed of light with the payment completed some time today. Boy, was I ever wrong!
After placing my order, I received this from the seller:
“Your electronic check payment has been submitted. Please allow 5 business days for your payment to clear our account. Normally, they will clear your bank account sooner, but it takes 5 business days to clear and be funded to our account. We will then email you that your order is moving to the next status. You will receive an email when your order proceeds to the shipping stage. Thank you for your business!”
